Raetihi Rodeo
Every year the small town of Raetihi hosts the Raetihi Rodeo, usually in the second weekend in March. Plan a trip in association with this, shop for western goods and see how some of the national champions and locals perform as they live and compete in cowboy activities straight out of the Old West.
Mellonsfolly ‘Old West’ Days
Each year Mellonsfolly Ranch and The Old West Town of Waterfall Mountain opens it’s gates for the Mellonsfolly Old West days, a day when you can explore the town, get involved in some cowboy activities and eat some mouth watering tucker western style.
