Informal Eating
Two hearty meals a day and a snack lunch. In keeping with informal Western tradition, inside meals are served family style in the Saloon, dress is always western informal, and we do expect shoes or boots worn in the Saloon. Prime NZ beef is a feature. We can cater for vegetarian diets if notified at time of booking. Dinner only is served the day you ride into town and Breakfast only is served the day you leave town.
Cookhouse Breakfasts
We serve a full breakfast between 9-00am and 9-30am. Breakfasts consist of your choice of Fruit & Cereals, toast and preserves, a cooked breakfast with eggs, bacon, beans and hash browns as sides with coffee, tea and juice on the beverage table. Lunch around 1pm.
Saloon Dinners
Miss Maggie's choice from a range of mouth waterin' Ranch recipes will be served in the Saloon around 7pm. Every day is a surprise but the daily fare may be The Judge's Pork Back Ribs, Tex's Roundup Roast, Laramie Lamb Shanks or a number of other delicious Ranch dishes. After dinner, relax and have a drink, as the Saloon comes alive for you to enjoy yourself.
Slake that thirst
The Lucky Strike Saloon Bar is licensed to serve liquor to accommodated guests only and for the Good Ol' Boys who belly up to the Bar we have wine, beer, popular spirits and a number of low or non alcoholic drinks for guests to purchase with their food. Canned or bottled non alcoholic beverages and all alcoholic beverages are extra to our all inclusive guest rate. Bar is tended after 6pm, but Bar purchases can be made on request at all times. We are not licensed for BYO.
24 Hour Tea & Coffee & Snacks.
Unlimited self service tea and coffee is always available in the pantry in the Hotel Lobby for early birds and night owls. Refrigerators are not provided in rooms but ice buckets and an ice machine let you cool down that favourite beverage, wherever you decide to drink it.
