What to Bring

When City Slickers or Greenhorns come out west they often need to bring a few extras to ease themselves into the western way of life. Sunscreen, band aids, and chap stick are all part of the saddlebag suggestions and although real cowboys don't line dance they have been seen in sunglasses. Akubra or cowboy hats (with stay on strings) are encouraged. If you don’t have one, summer cowboy hats can be purchased at the general store in most sizes.

Generally, pack clothing for warm, cold, and wet weather conditions. Hats, a light raincoat and boots are important. To make your stay comfortable and as enjoyable as possible:

'The Marshal' suggests you bring:

A Western Smile

Cowboy Boots and Hat

Comfortable Jeans

Gloves

Camera & Binoculars

Personal Toiletries

An outfit or something for Saturday Saloon night dress up.

Water bottle (or Canteen if you have one ) for excursions.

Long Socks

Warm Jacket

A light Raincoat in winter

A 'Bum Bag' to hold camera, chap stick sunglasses etc

Long & Short Sleeved T Shirts

Hiking Boots or Sneakers

BYO Trout fishing gear; Ski Gear etc

You are way out West !
There is no normal TV or radio reception and cell phones don't work unless you get to the top of a high ridge. A satellite email link is available in The Telegraph Office if you really must contact the folks ‘Back East’.
